It all started with wanting energy and to get back to my pre-baby weight. 

What I found was all-natural, plant-based supplements from a Health & Happiness company and saw dramatic increases in balanced mood, quality sleep, weight management, and energy by focusing on gut health.

My path through manic/ depressive episodes and anxiety attacks lasted for a decade before I was diagnosed with Bipolar

Eventually, I figured out that there are beautiful ways outside of medication anyone can use that helps your brain to thrive. CBT Therapy, journaling, self-love acts and meditation does wonders for everyone.

Brain + Body Connection

Our bodies and brains are inextricably connected. There is no doubt about it.

Scientists have long understood that hormones and chemical messengers of the brain associated with emotion can have physical effects. They can affect our blood pressure, sleep patterns, appetite, even our immune system, digestive and healing areas of the body.

Stress hormones related to flight or fight scenarios are released to protect us from dangerous situations. But in today’s world, we are constantly confronted with stressful situations and overloaded with information.

The way we train ourselves to think in response to our environment can be extremely impactful to our physical and overall health.

Negative thinking patterns—assuming the worst, jumping to conclusions, and self-criticism—can make it more difficult to deal with health problems.

This negative inner voice (or ANT’s – automatic negative thoughts) can have serious health consequences, and those types of thought patterns are difficult to break. That’s where mind-body therapies like meditation and CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) come in to help.

Energy, stamina, and clarity are required for us to be intentional, present, and aligned with our values on a daily basis.

Our mind needs our body physically strong with the right amounts of vitamins and minerals, hydration and sleep to be able to function at the highest levels.

This is why we can’t just focus on diet & exercise and feel better. We need so much more than that to overhaul our health. We need a whole new set of healthy habits.
